Identify locally expressed problems, their possible causes and affected groups. Separate observation, participant statements and your interpretation before proposing an extension response.

Procedure / कार्यविधि
Step 1 / चरण 1
Arrange the visit with the teacher and local contact. Explain the educational purpose and that the visit does not promise a scheme or financial benefit.
शिक्षक और स्थानीय संपर्क से भ्रमण तय करें। शैक्षिक उद्देश्य और योजना-धन का वादा न होना स्पष्ट करें।
Step 2 / चरण 2
Use open questions and listen to different livelihood and social groups. Ask about the problem, timing, impact and attempted solutions.
खुले प्रश्न से अलग आजीविका और सामाजिक समूह सुनें। समस्या, समय, प्रभाव और पहले प्रयास पूछें।
Step 3 / चरण 3
Cross-check with observation and permitted records. Distinguish symptoms from causes and individual needs from collective constraints.

Step 4 / चरण 4
Rank priorities with participants using agreed criteria, validate the summary and propose feasible next questions or referrals.

A brief visit is not a representative census or a technical diagnosis. Use anonymised notes and report uncertainty. Do not copy private records into a public report.

A symptom is an observed difficulty; causes are conditions producing it and require investigation. / लक्षण दिखाई कठिनाई है; उसे पैदा करने वाली परिस्थिति कारण है, जिसकी जाँच चाहिए।
