For regular rows, population/ha=10000×plants per hill/(row spacing m×hill spacing m). Example0.30m×0.10m with one established plant per hill gives333333plants/ha approximately. Convert centimetres to metres first. Hills, seeds placed and surviving plants are different quantities.

With physical purityP, bulk seed count equivalent=N/(P×G×E), subject to the seed-lot interpretation. Mass kg=seed number×thousand-seed weight g/1000000. Do not double-count germination if E already includes it.
