Eligibility and experience
Middle pass with Punjabi is essential. Experience in wheat or rice field operations, sowing, harvesting, crossing, germplasm maintenance, field experiments or laboratory sample handling is desirable for the respective project. The wheat post is under CSS-05 (PC-6387), concerning Aegilops introgression and disease resistance; the rice post is under ICAR-77 (PC-2331), concerning resistance/tolerance to different stresses.
How to apply
- Download the prescribed application form from the official PAU notice.
- Complete it and attach attested copies of supporting certificates and the prescribed ₹50 bank draft.
- Send the application to the Director, School of Agricultural Biotechnology, PAU, Ludhiana, within the advertised deadline of 5 November 2026. Submit early: the body of the notice says “before 05.11.2026”.
- Appear before the selection committee in the office of the Director on 20 November 2026 at 11:00 AM with original testimonials. No separate interview letter will be issued.
Important points before applying
Salary clarification: the rice-project entry states ₹11,390 per month and also refers to ₹800 per month as “additional”. The notice does not clearly resolve the final total; confirm the payable amount with PAU. No TA/DA will be paid. These are contractual project positions.
